My daughter had a pressing dental issue and they were able to see her that same day and do the procedure needed that same day as well. The dentist was very kind and talked with my daughter to make her feel comfortable.

My son had an appointment on Halloween. They had a skeleton staff with just a hygienist (I wish I remembered her name) and Dr. Petruzzi. They did so to give the other staff the opportunity to spend time with their little ones on Halloween… thoughtful. She was dressed as Luigi and he was dressed as Bowser from the Nintendo game. My son was 1 of like 4 appointments that day. They’re effort for just 4 appointments I thought was endearing. When my son and I left he said, “That was the best dentist visit I’ve ever had.” Effort is rare these days.

Dr. Petruzzi is always so comforting and good with our daughter. When we had an emergency the day before Christmas, he got her in right away whereas her regular dentist didn't. We are forever grateful, and our daughter trusts him.

Outstanding service from scheduling, until cavities filled !! Everyone loves kids! Kind, professional. Both my 9y and 7y old had a total change of heart about teeth brushing! Both keep asking me for floss, and actually STARTED brushing them sometimes without being asked. Staff and Dr made the kids feel empowered to learn why good teeth health is so important! Everyone was so wonderful, front desk, dental hygienist, and the dentist! My child is only 10 months old, so this was a new experience and she cried the whole time, but the team was quick and efficient. They also spent the time answering all of my questions. I definitely recommend them!

What a wonderful experience! My son has been to three different dentists and he wouldn’t let anyone look in his mouth, let alone clean them. Dr. Petruzzi’s staff was able to give him a full cleaning and thorough examination. For my girls, they quoted well below what our dentists in Buckeye and San Tan Valley charged and were able to fit all my kids in on very short notice. Everyone is nice and friendly and overall every interaction has been wonderful! How often can you say that about taking your kids to the dentist?

Very great experience all around. They called me about an appointment I made online and they offered me something sooner, at first I said no but a couple hours later I called and asked if they could take two of my kids who were new to them last minute and they did squeeze me in. Everyone was very nice, clinic was nice and clean. Heather was our dental assistant (?) and she was the absolute best with my kids, she definitely knows how to talk and make kids laugh. My youngest is super anxiety ridden and Heather handled it like a pro and was able to get her through everything with a smile on her face. She never once seemed annoyed or frustrated with my girls and she just was super kind and playful with them and talked to them like a human being. I appreciated her so much and because of her my kids had a great experience. Dr Petruzzi was really awesome too. The whole experience was great and I will be bringing my kids back. Thank you!

Dental Anesthesia concerns? ((Please READ )) I thought that it was very important to leave this review because I could not find any reviews on dental anesthesia from dr. Petruzzi’s office. I have the absolute WORST anxiety as a mom I mean terrible and while I knew my little one needed dental surgery I almost canceled and I am SO happy that I didn’t. My daughter has always had the most amazing experience with desert kids. She loves going to the dentist. Everyone handle me with so much care when I expressed how scared I was. I called Rachel balling she listened to me. She had the Anesthesiologist call me and explain everything to me. During the process the nurse continued to give me several updates. I could tell that they did everything to keep me calm. My toddler is back to normal after her procedure today and I am chasing her trying to keep her from flipping and running ha! I didn’t have the best dental care growing up I truly feel like family when I walk into this place brings tears to my eyes. We are so grateful to have come across such a caring dental office. If you are reading this and you are scared because your little has to have GA you are in good hands. Thank you to the desert kids dentistry team we appreciate you all.

We have been going to Desert kids dentistry for a couple of years now, and my children absolutely look forward to going to the dentist, the wonderful staff and Dr are above amazing, it's like going to visit friends for a play date! You all educate and make dental care fun for the kids! We are so thankful for you all.

Dr. Petruzzi has always been great. We found him by searching the web when I needed a new dentist for my kids. I seen several dentists before choosing him. When all the other dentists wanted to do what they wanted on my child’s teeth instead of asking me and acknowledging my preference; he was the only one to listen and agree to what I would prefer for my son. It really scored a lot of points for him and his office. A dentist who listens to the parents is important. Rachel, at the front desk is always a pleasure to speak to as well. She’s been so helpful and kind every time I’ve needed to interact with her. It’s very appreciated. However, there was one thing I didn't appreciate. One of the dental hygienists said something quite silly to my son. He was crying and scared of getting his teeth cleaned because of a prior visit he had when he was 3/4. She told him “I’m not hurting you, you’re too old to be crying”. He’s 6. He’s not too old to have feelings and emotions. It’s okay to cry and it’s okay to be scared. Wasn’t necessary or helpful to my son as his crying just continued. She also put fluoride on his teeth without my consent. She didn’t ask him what kind of toothpaste he preferred. Just wasn’t friendly at all with him. Meanwhile Rachel was doing my daughters teeth and she was amazing with her. Asked her what kind of toothpaste and what kind of toothbrush she wanted. She just made her experience fun while she talked to her. My daughter also did great! She’s 3. The next visit my son was having a procedure done and he started panicking and crying a bit. This same hygienist came to the room, rolled her eyes and shut the door. As if my son was an annoyance or being a nuisance to other patients out there; who by the way started screaming and crying much louder than my son was. Luckily Dr. Petruzzi knew how to talk to my son and was singing songs. My son stopped almost immediately. Even made him laugh from his singing. If my son had a nicer hygienist, maybe he wouldn’t of cried. Kids sense things. My star rating reflects Dr. Petruzzi and Rachel only. They are too great to give anything less than a 5 star rating. I appreciate them both.

The entire staff is wonderful!! The techs and doctor are great with my daughter. We have been coming here for a few years now and love Dr. Petruzzi.
